The TRNSYS Experience seminar will hold its second edition in the German town of Kaiserlautern in western Germany. Organised by local universities from Germany and neighbouring regions of France, Luxemburg and Belgium, the two-day seminar focuses on TRNSYS software and its novel applications, and is dedicated to case-studies and user feedback.
BRICKER partner Matteo D’Antoni from EURAC will deliver a presentation on the second day entitled “Simulation of a solar assisted tri-generation system for non-residential buildings”. He will share his insights on the technical and concrete numerical aspects of evaluating the performance of a tri-generation system 100% driven by solar and biomass sources. This analysis has been conducted through detailed TRNSYS numerical simulations. The system is being applied to BRICKER’s Spanish demo building - a public-owned non-residential building - and will provide heating, cooling and electricity. Furthermore, Matteo will discuss system performance in terms of seasonal thermal and electrical efficiency, backed up by a techno-economic analysis.
The main aim the presentation is to share with the TRNSYS community the experience gained, to show the development of new TRNSYS components and to discuss possible software improvements.
