Our colleague Pinar Menguc from BRICKER partner Ozyegin University is due to attend a congress in early December hosted by the Energy Institute which is part of the Australian National University. Entitled “Light, Energy and the Environment”, the congress will examine the frontiers in the development of optical technologies for energy production, transport and use. It will bring together researchers, engineers and managers in order to foster exchange between several of the disciplines involved in energy production usage, cost and environmental and efficiency management.
The conference comprises four topical meetings:
- Optical nanostructures and advanced materials for photovoltaics
- Optics and photonics for energy and the environments
- Optics for solar energy
- Solid-state and organic lighting
