BRICKER partner Ozyegin University will be attending Solartre 2014 – an international conference and exhibition about innovative technologies and practices in solar energy, due to take place between 19 and 20 November in Izmir, Turkey. As part of BRICKER’s outreach, Burak Sefer, from the University, will deliver presentation of the project at the event that is one of the largest in the region.
The conference will bring together experts, policy makers, civil society organisations and industry from countries around the world including the USA, Germany and China. Some twenty key-note speakers are lined up to deliver insight on the latest developments in solar energy with Turkey eager to close the solar gap with northern countries. The three day event will kick-off with scientific key-note presentations by the WWF in Turkey suggesting an alternative energy mix for the country, and by Andy Cheng Zheng from the University of California setting out “an innovation-focused roadmap for a sustainable global photovoltaic industry”.
