Examples of BRICKER’s good practice at Seville climate change summit

Image

The southern Spanish city of Seville was the setting of a summit on climate change organised on 13 December 2017 by Partenalia, a European association of intermediate local authorities, and attended by representatives of the Covenant of Mayors as well as by members of BRICKER.

The aim was to foster greater cooperation among the association’s members to help drive forward sustainable local development and mitigate climate change. The summit represented an opportunity for these local authorities to find out what each other is doing to reduce carbon emissions and to learn more about the multitude of measures being implemented at the local level.

In this respect, local BRICKER partner and coordinator Juan Ramón de las Cuevas (Acciona – Seville) along with Catherine Pinet (Province de Liège) from Belgium delivered a presentation at the event highlighting the project’s achievements and the best practices developed and implemented at the demo sites.
